The Stranglers were the punk band with keyboards and are one of the longest-surviving and most continuously successful bands to have originated in the UK punk scene. ‘10’ is by far the most underrated album by The Stranglers and the last album to feature guitarist and lead singer Hugh Cornwell. The album cover art shows the members of the band dressed up as ten of the most notable world leaders of the time (it shows from left to right: Yasser Arafat, Rajiv Gandhi, Pope John Paul II, Mikhail Gorbachev, Margaret Thatcher, George H. W. Bush, Fidel Castro, Muammar al-Gaddafi, Benazir Bhutto and Joshua Nkomo). Singles released for this album were “96 Tears”, a cover from the U.S. garage-rock band ? and the Mysterians and “Sweet Smell Of Success”. On this CD are 8 Bonus tracks included.
